Global Restoration

Why We Restore

Because healing the planet means transforming how we live, relate, and care.

A Crisis of Belonging

The signs are everywhere.

CLIMATE CHANGE

HABITAT LOSS

SPECIES COLLAPSE

COLLECTIVE SUFFERING

But beneath the symptoms is something deeper.

We've Lost Our Place

We’ve forgotten our role as caretakers, protectors, and collaborators with nature.

We’ve mistaken domination for progress — and disconnection for freedom.

But this isn’t who we truly are.

It’s time to come back to our roots.

To restore not just ecosystems, but our relationship with the Earth — and with each other.

Restoration Is MoreThan Replanting

Whether we’re restoring a forest or expanding tree canopies in urban spaces, our goal is the same: rebalance the systems we all depend on. Because it’s not just about trees. This is about relationships.

When we restore an ecosystem, we rebuild the balance that life depends on:

And when young people lead this work, something else happens:

The Vision We’re Growing

We envision a world where humans live in harmony with nature — not above it. A world where restoration is a way of life, not a one-time act. Where people return to the land with respect. Where forests thrive, communities thrive, and the future has roots.

This isn’t a dream. It’s a direction.
And every seedling we plant — every action we take — moves us closer.

Rooted in Youth, Fueled by Action

Our approach starts with young people, because they carry the energy, ideas, and urgency the world needs.

We mobilize youth to take action locally and globally — not just to plant trees, but to restore balance in their communities, ecosystems, and lives.

We focus on tree-dominated ecosystems where localized restoration efforts can create global impact — concentrating our teams in biodiversity hotspots like the Carolinian Forest in Canada, and expanding through grassroots actions led by our members around the world.

Why Now?

Because we’ve already lost too much.
But we haven’t lost everything.

If we act with urgency — and with care — we can still restore critical ecosystems, support under-recognized species, and rebuild resilient landscapes that can weather the challenges ahead.

Restoration is hope made tangible.
It’s what
we do when we still believe in something better.

Our Guiding Truth:
We are all connected.

Restoring ecosystems is about restoring relationship — with the Earth, with each other, and with our rightful place in the web of life.

When we understand this connection, we begin to live not as separate from nature, but as part of it — as caretakers, not destroyers; as collaborators, not dominators.
