Calling all passionate young leaders! PowerSparklings is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team. As a member of our Youth Governance Council, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our community.
The PowerSparklings are a team of dedicated young leaders committed to empowering and engaging our community. As a member of our Youth Governance Council, your primary responsibilities revolve around enhancing membership experience and recruitment efforts.
You'll collaborate closely with our operations team to educate them on member needs and devise strategies to attract new participants. Additionally, you'll oversee program materials and resources, ensuring they align with our community's values and interests. Your input during resource development will be invaluable, as it ensures our offerings resonate with our diverse membership base.

Eligibility & Qualifications:
Applicants should possess specific training or experience relevant to community engagement, youth leadership, or related fields. This could include involvement in team sports, student council, budgeting, or similar activities. The committee will consist of individuals aged 16-27, ensuring a balanced representation of both younger and older members.
Ideal Candidates Will:

Bring a diverse range of life experiences, skills, and expertise to the table, reflecting the breadth of perspectives within our community.

Have knowledge and skilled understanding of current environmental issues, biodiversity/wildlife and human-animal relations, and climate change.

Have proficiency with Google Workspace tools and MS Office (Word, Excel).

Have poise and strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively on a diverse team with a variety of people from different cultures and sub-cultures.

Be a well organized, self-directed team player, able to work independently and collaboratively with teammates to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
